DESCRIPTION:Mental Health Partnerships Presents: The CPS Certification Training is a 75-hour hybrid training fully authorized by the PA Certification Board (PCB). The class is delivered live (in-person) during the first week\, and Online via Zoom the second week. \nThe training provides foundational knowledge\, skills and values that equip individuals to work as Peer Supporters in the state of Pennsylvania. This training costs $1400\, Funding available through Southwest Behavioral Health Management\, Inc. \nThe CPS Certification Training includes the following topics: \n\nThe history of Recovery and Peer Support\nRecovery Values\nWRAP Seminar I\nCPS Core Competencies\nOutreach and Engagement\nStages of Change\nIntroduction to Motivational Interviewing\nEthics and Boundaries\nDocumentation\nMental Models / Ladder of Inference\nDiversity and Worldview\nSupport for Transitions\nCredentialing and Job Search\n\nSuccessful completion of this training requires consistent attendance\, full participation in activities and assignments\, as well as satisfactory scores on two weekly tests. DESCRIPTION:HeadsUp Presents: This workshop series will present an overview of Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills and their application as they pertain to engagement with individuals experiencing early psychosis. Sessions will focus on listening and engagement skills that can improve client engagement and progress through focusing conversations\, evoking change talk\, and introducing planning. Attendance at all eight (8) sessions of the cohort is required\, as well as the completion\, submission\, and processing of four (4) recorded practices of the skills. This session will focus on engagement skills for emphasizing personal power and choice\, and specific practice with autonomy support.\n \nObjectives:\nExplain engagement skills for emphasizing personal power and choice.\nDefine discord with personal power and choice.\nIdentify and practice autonomy supports.\nIntended Audience: All staff are encouraged to attend. \n  \nREGISTER HERE.
