DESCRIPTION:Washington State Health Care Authority Presents: The Psychosis CARE Virtual Conference invites a broad audience (school staff\, PCPs\, mental health therapists\, SUD professionals\, law enforcement\, families\, individuals with lived experience\, etc.) to gather virtually to engage in Community Awareness\, Resources\, and Education as it relates to Psychosis. \nThis annual event features breakout sessions led by speakers who are experts in the field of psychosis. Attendees can expect to learn more about early identification of psychosis\, resources for supporting individuals experiencing symptoms of psychosis\, resources for psychosis care available in Washington State\, as well as opportunities to engage with other attendees. \nPsychosis CARE represents a collaboration between the New Journeys network\, Washington State Health Care Authority\, the University of Washington SPIRIT Center\, the Washington State University Elson S. DESCRIPTION:HeadsUp Presents: This workshop series will present an overview of Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills and their application as they pertain to engagement with individuals experiencing early psychosis. Sessions will focus on listening and engagement skills that can improve client engagement and progress through focusing conversations\, evoking change talk\, and introducing planning. Attendance at all eight (8) sessions of the cohort is required\, as well as the completion\, submission\, and processing of four (4) recorded practices of the skills. This session will focus on an introduction to the MI Spirit and engagement skills\, specifically addressing practice with open-ended questions and simple reflections.\n \nObjectives:\nDescribe an introduction to MI Spirit.\nSummarize engagement and listening skills.\nExpress and practice open-ended questions and simple reflections.\nIntended Audience: All staff are encouraged to attend. \n  \nREGISTER HERE.

DESCRIPTION:UMD Presents: For providers including direct service staff and leadership in the Public Behavioral Health System\, Technical Assistance is available via office-hours style webinars where participants get to address questions and get technical assistance on topics including: \nPerson-Centered Care Planning\nPerson-Centered Assessments\nNarrative Summaries that demonstrate Medical Necessity\nSupervising Person-Centered Care\nFunctional Assessments including the DLA-20\nDocumentation and Progress Noting\nCritical Time Intervention Implementation \nOpen forum small group discussion. \nPlease Note: Due to semi-structured online format\, CEUs/COAs are NOT available for Office Hours. Participation in Office Hours is not a substitute for the DLA-20 Basic training required for the for submission of service authorization/reauthorization requests for adults in Adult Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) programs\, Mobile Treatment programs\, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs (PRPs)\, and Residential Rehabilitation Programs (RRPs). These training sessions are provided free of charge by the Behavioral Health Administration through the University of Maryland’s Training and Evidence-Based Practice Centers. \n  \nREGISTER HERE.
