DESCRIPTION:Drexel Behavioral Healthcare Education Department Presents: Because schizophrenia spectrum disorders are relatively common\, affecting approximately 4% of young people\, nearly all mental health care providers will encounter individuals experiencing psychosis or its early warning signs. The sooner individuals are identified and receive care following the first onset of psychosis spectrum symptoms\, the better their functional and personal outcomes are likely to be. This session provides an overview of early psychosis symptoms across the spectrum from risk symptoms to threshold psychosis disorders. Research- and practice-informed strategies for recognizing\, assessing and responding to psychosis spectrum symptoms will be presented in the context of social determinants of health that may impact recognition and referral pathways. SUMMARY:Psychosis REACH Training
DESCRIPTION:Psychosis REACH Presents: The Psychosis REACH Training consists of four parts: \nFirst\, you will complete the online Psychosis REACH course at your own pace. The course should take roughly 5 hours to complete. You can revisit the course as often as you’d like. Along with the course\, you will receive immediate access to a Psychosis REACH community board to connect with other families participating in the training. \nOnce you finish the course\, you will receive access to a Psychosis REACH Resource Library which will include all of the training materials along with a number of additional resources our team has compiled for you. \nAfter finishing the course\, you will also be automatically registered for a 3-hour live skills training workshop on June 5th\, 2026 (9am-12pm Pacific Time). This live workshop will consist of live Q&A and demonstrations of the Psychosis REACH skills by a Psychosis REACH Family Ambassador and expert trainer. If you are not able to attend this event\, we have scheduled additional training events through 2026. You can visit our website for more information on training dates. \nFinally\, you will have the option of connecting with a Psychosis REACH Family Ambassador for additional peer support and Psychosis REACH skills coaching. Participation in Office Hours is not a substitute for the DLA-20 Basic training required for the for submission of service authorization/reauthorization requests for adults in Adult Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) programs\, Mobile Treatment programs\, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Programs (PRPs)\, and Residential Rehabilitation Programs (RRPs).
