Beyond The Video Series: Suicidality, Substance Use, and School-Based Assessment in Youth at Clinical High-Risk for Psychosis

Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services Presents: This 1.5-hour office hours session accompanies the recorded trainings on suicidality among youth at clinical high risk (CHR) for psychosis, substance use and CHR, and tools for school-based providers assessing risk for psychosis in youth. As with the first session, it will be structured as a brief summarizing lecture followed by office hours Q&A and discussion. Dr. Schiffman will respond to participant questions, facilitate discussion of risk assessment and intervention strategies, and provide supplemental resources to support continued learning and application across clinical and school-based settings.

Learning Objectives:
Identify promising approaches to care for people at
risk for psychosis with suicidality.
Recognize the link between substance use and
clinical high risk (CHR) for psychosis.
Describe psychosocial interventions for youth at
risk for psychosis applicable to the educational
setting.
