Idiopathic Hypersomnia: A New Era for Clinical Diagnosis

August 28 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Dr. Plante & Dr. Maski Present: Affecting approximately 92,000 adults in the United States, idiopathic hypersomnia can have a profound impact on patients’ lives. Symptoms span beyond excessive daytime sleepiness and impact patients 24-hours per day. Prolonged, nonrestorative sleep, sleep inertia and cognitive impairment also contribute to poor daytime functioning and reduced quality of life.

In this upcoming presentation, Drs David Plante and Kiran Maski will discuss how to define and diagnose idiopathic hypersomnia, review the symptoms and associated burden on patients’ lives, and look to the future to evaluate emerging areas of research.
